Economic Development Activities :

Krishi Tantrik Vidyalaya running vocational training courses for 100 students from 20 villages at Shivapur.

Entrepreneurship Development Programmes and follow-up support to newly formed enterprises.

Precision Engineering shop with CNC & other modern machines employing 50 workers from the villages at Shivapur.

Supporting young entrepreneurs through `Yantravistar Yojana’, i.e. Extending Machinery and job work support during gestation period and subsequent managerial/technical training input to young entrepreneurs.

Income generating activities for women under`Shivaganga Mahila Ydyog’. About 100 women are involved in Sisal fibre articles’ production, Tailoring and Handicrafts.

Skill training for women in Electronic assembly, chalk and candle making, glass beads fancy articles and food processing.

Promotion of Micro-credit groups for women and micro-enterprises in 30 villages. As of today, there are 135 groups having 2500 members.(January 2000).

About 75 women are gaining self-employment through various village based activities viz. setting up of flour- mill, dairying etc.

Training and Production workshop for making Bamboo articles at Velhe involving 5 Master craftsmen.

Skill upgradation programme for entrepreneurs and artisans.
