Jnana Prabodhini's Institute of Psychology (JPIP)

Established in 1970. Jnana Prabodhini aims at identification and nurture of human abilities and aspirations and directing to creative understanding of national problems.

JPIP has been making significant contribution in realising the former part of this goal and has gradually reached to the status of a leading Advanced Research Institute recognised nationally and internationally.

  1. Post Graduate Diploma in School Psychology commenced from 1993, enrollment of about 25 students each year.

  2. Annual Budget Rs 20 Lakhs which is self-generated and partly subsidized by Research Funding Agencies as UGC, NCERT, ICSSR.

  3. Application of expertise in Corporate, Public and Government Sectors in the areas of recruitment, selection, training and appraisal of human resources.

  4. Research paper presentations at state, national & international confernces.

  5. Organizations assisted since 1985 : ONGC, Ceat, Dunlop, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindustan Lever, Philips, Garware, Finolex, Kirloskar Group, Whirlpool, etc.

  6. Mensa, India - Organisation of high intellectuals.

  7. Marathi Manas Shastra Parishad, Head Office.

  8. Current staff strength : - 10 Psychologists , 8 Support Staff, 5 Ph. D. Scholars.

  • Development and standardisation of 120 tests based of Guilford's Structure-of-Intellect model.

  • Completion of about 50 short term and doctoral research studies on various themes.
